Формирование иконографической программы византийского храма: взгляд с приграничных территорий

В статье делается попытка обобщить данные, которые может дать изучение росписей пещерных храмов Каппадокии второй половины IX — начала XΙ в. для реконструкции процесса формирования классической системы монументальной декорации византийского храма. Выделяются некоторые каппадокийские ансамбли, в которых так или иначе проявляется столичное влияние:церкви Кылычлар, Эль Назар, Новая Токалы в Гёреме, Ала и Дирекли в Белисирме, Кубелли и церковь Святой Варвары в Соганлы, Тагар близ Ургюпа и др. В системе декорации апсид, куполов, сводов истен анализируются те иконографические решения, которые отличаются от традиционных для данного региона более старых схем. В этом отношении показательными оказываются пещерные храмы, имитирующие архитектуру константинопольских крестово-купольных церквей, хотя в отдельных случаях влияние столичных иконографических схем можно видеть и в более простых по пространственной организации ансамблях. Эти программы сопоставляются с теми данными о столичных ансамблях, которые известны по сохранившимся фрагментам мозаик или по описаниям в письменных источниках.
Привлечение каппадокийского материала и сравнение его с ансамблями на европейской территории Византийской империи позволяет уточнить некоторые нюансы в истории формирования монументальной декорации византийского храма в послеиконоборческий период. Исследование показывает, что это был многоступенчатый и сложный процесс, на который оказывали влияние факторы различного порядка. В искусстве византийских провинций усвоение новшеств также принимало многообразные формы, но в целом развитие шло в том же направлении, что и в столице.
