Аннотация

Проблема перестройки синагог в христианские храмы во многом параллельна и синхронна проблеме перестройки языческих святилищ, но значительно слабее изучена. В статье предлагается обобщающий обзор всех известных случаев подобных трансформаций на территории позднеантичной Палестины на основе археологических данных (Гераса, Иппос-Суссита, Хорват-Сумак и др.). Из ряда исторических упоминаний о конфликтах между иудеями и христианами выбраны лишь те, которые соотносятся с данными археологии. Также сравнивается архитектура соседствующих друг с другом церквей и синагог в пространстве одного города, что выявляет их обособленную самоидентификацию даже на фоне мирных взаимоотношений (Тверия, Сепфорис, Бет-Шеан, Капернаум). Подробно рассматривается «церковь-синагога» в Газе и ее происхождение. Обосновывается гипотеза о том, что изначально построенная как церковь, данная базилика после арабского завоевания была передана иудеям и перестроена в бет-кнессет; предлагается ее новая датировка. Подобный хронологический ряд межконфессиональных перестроек показывает необратимое развитие отношений между христианами и иудеями на протяжении веков.
