The Interpretation of Scenes and Images of Scandinavian Mythology in Swedish Porcelain of the Last Third of the 19th Century

The article is devoted to a substantive review of the development of one of pastiches (“Nordic style”) historicism in the Swedish porcelain in the last third of the 19th c. Special attention is given to the determination of features of the artistic interpretation of scenes and images of Scandinavian mythology in the objects of porcelain manufactories Rörstrand and Gustavsberg.
