"Зеленая зона" в архитектуре английского брутализма 1950–1960-х годов

Современная архитектура и градостроительство с самого своего рождения уделяли большое внимание проблеме озеленения города, и современные подходы к этой проблеме прошли долгий путь становления. В модернистской, особенно функционалистской, теории природа наделялась рационально обоснованной гигиенической функцией оздоровления города, что снимало необходимость художественного оформления ландшафта. Однако, после Второй Мировой войны архитектурное сообщество ощутило недостаточность функционалистского метода и стало искать пути его гуманизации. В ходе этой дискуссии в CIAM, группа молодых архитекторов Team X предложила градостроительные принципы, основанные на идее коммуникации и создании сообществ, смешении функций как в традиционном городе. На этом фундаменте лидеры группы, британские архитекторы Элисон и Питер Смитсон, создали «новый брутализм», быстро набравший популярность в Англии. В статье предлагается рассмотреть ландшафтную архитектуру зеленой зоны в бруталистском градо- и жилищном строительстве в ее отношении к теории и практике создания зеленых пространств в интернациональном модернизме, теории самого брутализма, а также критике модернизма, появившейся на рубеже 1950–60 гг. Несмотря на то, что тексты и заявления самих «бруталистов» содержат меньше прямых указаний на общие принципы создания зеленых зон, чем программные тексты функционализма, наблюдается явная эволюция и усложнение пространства зеленой зоны. Постепенно они обретают собственный характер и начинают пониматься как часть единой коммуникативной системы города. Таким образом, через практики «нового брутализма» происходит последовательное усложнение взаимоотношений архитектуры и зеленых зон городов, которое будет иметь большое значение для последующего существования ландшафтной архитектуры.
