География земная и сакральная в декоративной программе раннехристианской церкви пророка Моисея на горе Нево

Аннотация

Система декорации паломнической базилики пророка Моисея на горе Нево, включавшая множество напольных мозаик и резьбу мраморной кафедры и алтарных преград, складывалась на протяжении всего VI в. и окончательно оформилась в начале VII в. Одной из её особенностей являлась значимость библейской географии, по-разному преломлявшейся в мозаичных сюжетах. Паломнические тексты свидетельствуют о первостепенном внимании, которое верующие уделяли видам Палестины: местные монахи актуализировали их для паломников рассказами о библейской истории и чтением соответствующих псалмов. Посредством мозаик эти виды служили осязаемым подтверждением слов Писания даже тогда, когда паломники находились внутри церкви и не видели настоящих пейзажей. Тема сакральной географии раскрывается в декоративном убранстве базилики на нескольких уровнях. Во-первых, в мозаичном сюжете, иллюстрирующем псалом 50, находит отражение образ города, Земного и Небесного Иерусалима. Во-вторых, в символических изображениях местных фруктов, появляющихся и в мозаике, и в резьбе, возникает образ Земли Обетованной, напрямую связанной с пророком Моисеем, впервые узревшим её с горы Нево. И, в-третьих, в мозаике с охотничьими и пастушескими сценами в базилике возникает собирательный образ мира, вбирающего в себя разные страны и земли, как олицетворение всего божественного творения. При этом хронологически первым, в первой трети VI в., в базилике появляется самый широкий из этих образов — образ мироздания, чтобы затем на рубеже VI–VII в. уступить место более конкретным географическим ассоциациям, исключительно важным для посещавших церковь Моисея паломников, искавших в окружающем ландшафте подтверждения истинности слов Писания.
