Амальтей Аттика: попытка реконструкции

Аннотация

В статье рассматривается проблема Амальтея, известного исключительно по упоминанию Цицероном в переписке и в диалоге «О законах». Не отрицая существование подобного компонента арпинской виллы, автор обращается только к Амальтею Аттика. Распространено мнение,что последний создал в эпирской усадьбе мемориальный комплекс, воплощающий идеальный Рим.Отличительной чертой была галерея бюстов великих римлян с краткими стихотворными подписями. Однако свидетельство Корнелия Непота (Nep. Vita Att. 18. 5–6), неполное и относящееся к более позднему времени, связано с Амальтеем меньше, чем принято считать; поэтому гипотеза о линейной последовательности портретов выдающихся соотечественников мало состоятельна. Необходимо избегать слишком близких параллелей с форумом Августа, виллой Папирусов и помещением № 78 виллы Поппеи (Оплонтис); хотя изображение кормилицы Зевса или ее атрибута (грота?) было смысловой доминантой Амальтея, нет доказательств, что сюда вела аллея, обрамленная портретами великих людей. В концепции Ж. Соро наиболее плодотворна мысль об Амальтее как безопасном убежище. По причине фрагментарности источниковой базы целесообразно видеть в нем платановую рощу на берегу реки.
