West European and American Poster at the First International Poster Exhibition in Saint-Petersburg (1897)

The article is devoted to the fi st exhibition of the foreign posters in Russia (1897). The paper focuses on the history of the exhibition and analyses its accompanying materials, the catalogues. The main features of West European and American poster of the last third of the 19th c. are also discussed.
